Hello and Guten Tag!

My name is Evi, I was born and raised in Germany, I used to call the beautiful city of Hamburg my home town.
​
When I moved to Lima, Peru in 2015, my multilingual journey began. While learning a new language myself (Spanish), I had multiple jobs in tutoring kids and adults in German and English.
My husband and I ran an English language institute in Lima, I also privately tutored kids from the ages 3-12 in German. Furthermore, I organized weekly language exchange meet ups (in person) with up to 120 people from all around the world. You see, moving abroad definitely brought out my passion for languages and communication.
In 2020 my Peruvian/Australian husband and I moved to New Zealand. We have two young daughters that we raise trilingual (English, German and Spanish). It is such a joy to see what impact each language has in their little lives and it makes our family routines super interesting.
I strongly believe that speaking multiple languages forms strong characters, helps finding your own identity and opens doors in many many ways. It’s great to see how, young kids especially, learn in a playful way, through music, stories and activities, without even realizing that they are building an important foundation for their lives.
I enjoy helping kids discover new ways of communication and see them get excited over their own progress.

My name is Nadine, and I teach German, French, and ESL classes.
I am a certified teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education, English and French. Born and raised in Germany, I immigrated to Canada in 2018. Learning new languages and traveling have always been my passion. When I was only 9 years old, I flew to Paris in France all by myself to stay with a French family for two weeks! That is when I learned my first French words: pomme (apple), soleil (sun), and many more! Now I am a mother of two children who speak three languages fluently. My children taught me that learning languages through immersion and game is really the most effective and fun method.
​Furthermore, I am certified to teach elementary as well as secondary levels in Germany and in Nova Scotia, Canada. For more than 20 years I have been teaching English, French, and German - in German and Canadian schools in-class and, for more than four years now, also online.
You’ll immediately notice my passion for teaching—I can’t help but smile! I aim to create a warm and supportive learning atmosphere and genuinely enjoy building relationships with my students. In Canada, I taught Kindergarten and grades 5 and 6 at a French-speaking school, while in Germany, I prepared English students for University (Abitur) at the secondary advanced levels. I also loved teaching German as a Second Language/Foreign Language (DaZ,Daf) to international students from over 40 nations! In France, I enjoyed teaching German to high school students.
In March 2020, my family discovered the joy of homeschooling, and we continued our journey in French and German even after schools reopened! Today, online courses are a vital part of our homeschooling adventure and professional lives, and I couldn’t be more excited about it!

My name is Tino and I'm a Native Speaker of German with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

In 2018, we immigrated to Canada as a family and started homeschooling our children. I discovered how much I enjoy teaching our sons maths and science through play and hands-on materials. We often go outside and learn maths "the wild way" in the great outdoors of Canada.

I've started tutoring German on online platforms in 2020, helping my students pass German language speaking tests.
